The Liskeard and District Camera Club are always pleased to receive new members. Whether you are a beginner wanting to get more out of your camera and image making or a seasoned enthusiast then the club has plenty to offer you.
For the beginner we offer basic tuition which will get you up to speed on such tricky subjects as aperture, depth of field and ISO. We have six ctritique evening during the season where you can present your images and invite comments from the membership. These are always held in a helpful and respectful manner which beginners find useful and supportive. Three of the evenings are for prints and the other three are for projected images, so if you do not have access to a printer you can still participate by entering your images on a CD or memory stick. Our aim is to help you improve your photography, get more out of your camera and above all have fun !
For the more experienced photographers among you we can offer Competition Evenings, Interclub Competitions, as well as access to Regional and National Competitions. Competitions not your thing ? We have a number of talks and presentations by accomplished guest photographers throughout the season, who present their work, either by using prints or projected images which our members find interesting and imformative. If you are new to the area we can offer advice on locations you might like to visit. Our annual exhibition is a great way for us to interact with the general public and provides a showcase for our members work.
So if you have an interest in photography and want to get more out of your image making why not consider joining The Liskeard and District Camera Club.
