A photograph (projected image or print) may be entered into a maximum of 3 club competitions (not including the Oatey Cup/ Chairman’s Competition) after which it will be disqualified from further internal competitions.
A ‘submission deadline’ will be identified in the program for the current year, for each competition. Submissions after this deadline will not be accepted.
Submissions will only be accepted from current members of the Liskeard & District Camera Club (except for the Chairman’s Competition which is open to prospective new members)
The Competitions Manager will date receipt all submissions and allocate entry numbers into the appropriate competition and section.
All entries must be titled so that the Competitions Manager can individually identify them, changing of a title is not permitted.
A projected image can either be a traditional slide or digital file.
Slides must be ‘spotted’ with a new blank spot before being submitted. Masking of slides is permitted.
Slides must be titled, bear the photographer’s current membership number and identify the Competition and Section for which the slide is entered.
Digital files must be in *.jpg format.
Digital files should be named in the following format:-

For both Black & White or Colour, prints may be either trade or home processed.
Prints should be no smaller than 7” by 5” and no larger (including mount) than 20” by 16”, must be mounted, titled, bear the photographers current membership number, and identify the Competition and Section for which the print is entered.
This print competition is run during the summer recess the subject is chosen by the chairperson at the AGM who will judge it early in the new season.
The print entry can be colour or monochrome between 7” X 5” and 10” X 8” print size, and must be mounted with a maximum mount size of 20” X 16”.
The competition is open to all existing and prospective members.
Only one print entry is allowed per person.
For the best Enprint, as judged by Club Members.
Entries are submitted on the night of competition.
Members may submit up to three entries.
Entries should be unmounted and need not be titled.
An entry number will be allocated by the Competitions Manager on submission.
Members are not permitted to vote for their own work.
Maximum size to be 5” X 7”.
Best panel of three projected images.
Members may enter up to three sets of three projected images.
Each panel of 3 projected images must be on a theme.
Best of three prints.
Members may enter up to three sets of three prints.
Each panel of 3 prints must be on a theme.
Each panel must consist of 3 individually mounted prints, subject to the general rules.
Members will be required to rank each panel of photographs in order of their preference i.e panel one the first preference to panel three the last preference. If the Competitions Manager considers there are an excessive number of entries for an individual competition the Manager will drop the last preference for each Member until a manageable number is achieved commensurate with good judging practice. The Competitions Manager’s decision will be final
Entries shall conform to the definition of natural history:
Subjects must be live and photographed in the wild and be free.
Entries can include flora, fauna and mineralogy.
The objective is to clearly illustrate the subject rather than to produce a pictorial interpretation.
Any digital manipulation should follow PAGB guidance for natural history entries, which is limited to levels, contrast and cropping functions only.
Each Member may enter up to three prints.
Entries shall conform to the definition of natural history:

The objective is to clearly illustrate the subject rather than to produce a pictorial interpretation.

Each member may enter up to three prints.
There will be three Merit critiques, one on a set subject and two open. Set subject is suggested by members and agreed at the AGM.
Critique and Forum Evenings are informal opportunities to show images and receive feedback without the competitive element. These evenings are light hearted and very supportive.
Each critique has two sections and are discussed on separate club evenings:
◊ Prints – either colour or black and white.
◊Projected images – either slides or digital files.
Up to three entries are allowed in each section.
At the end of each season, each member may bring back one print and or projected image which they presented in any of the year’s critique evenings. The club will select the image of the year which will be awarded The Kenneth Beard Trophy.
