2009 - 2010 season.
Merit Critiques
There will be four Merit critique evenings, two on set subjects and two open. Any style of image can be entered into the open critiques and the set subjects are those suggested by members and agreed at the AGM.
Critique and Forum Evenings are informal opportunities to show images and receive feedback without the competitive element. These evenings are light hearted and very supportive.
Each critique has two sections:
Prints – either colour or black and white
Projected images – either slides or digital files
Up to three entries are allowed in each section.
Dates are:
Merit One - "Nightime"
Closing date for entries 29th September 2009 - Critique 6th October 2009.
Merit Two - Open subject
Closing date for entries 17th November 2009 - Critique 24th November 2009.
Merit Three - "Close Up"
Closing date for entries 9th February 2010 - Critique 16th February 2010.
Merit Four - Open Subject
Closing date for entries 6th April 2010 - Critique 13th April 2010.
End of Season - Image of the Year.
At the end of the season, this year the 27th April 2010, each member is invited to bring back their favourite image from those they have entered into one of the four critiques.
From these submissions the club will select the Image of the Year which wins The Kenneth Beard Shield.
